The treatment group was treated with Bairui granules; the control group was treated by trollius chinensis granules; the Western medicine group was treated by ribavirin granules. The course of treatment was 5 days in all three groups. Children’s time of defervescence, time of herpe disappearance and clinical efficacy were observed. Results: It cost the treatment group much more time in defervescence and herpe disappearance than the control group and the Western medicine group. Their difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effectiveness was 96%, 93% and 80% in the treatment group, the control group and the Western medicine group respectively. The difference in total effectiveness was not statistically significant between the treatment group and the control group (P>0.05).
