Abstract: Objective: To study the clinical efficacy of Bairui particles combined with ribavirin in the treatment of children with acute upper respiratory infection. Method: Selected our hospital from April 2012 to June 2014, 104 cases children with acute upper respiratory infection, randomly divided into control group and observation group. Observation group were treated with Bairui particles oral combined with ribavirin intravenous, control group were treated with ribavirin intravenous, and the two groups were given the same symptomatic treatment. Clinical effect of the two groups after treatment were compared. Result: Children in observation group with cough, sputum, asthma, runny nose, rale and wheezing sound disappeared time were significantly shorter than control group (P<0.01), 2～6 days after treatment, temperature and white blood cell counts of observation group reduced effect were obviously better than control group (P<0.05). Total efficiency of observation group was significantly higher than control group (χ2＝4.98, P＝0.026). Conclusion: Bairui particles combined with ribavirin can quickly and effectively control the progress of children with acute respiratory infection.
