Abstract: Objective: To study the analgesic effect of Thesium chinense trochee (TCT). Methods: Writhing test, hot-plate and thrilling test in mice were applied. Results: TCT( 2.27、6. 80 g /kg, ig, qd×7 d) reduced the writhing numbers, 6.80 g /kg TCT prolonged the latency of thrilling. Three kinds of doses of TCT ( 0.76, 2.27, 6.80 g/kg , ig ) lasted the incubation period of hot-plate pain. Conclusion: TCT has significant analgesic effect.
